PLIF Procedure
Posterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion describes the process of reaching vertebrae through
an incision in the patient's back (posterior). The SCNS Atlanta Neurosurgeon will then
remove the affected disc and surrounding tissue. Inserts are then placed into the disc
space to promote fusion between the vertebrae to stabilize the spine.
